Hi all and welcome to Mental Monday. This is the Mindset Coach Academy podcast. And it's Monday. So we talk about one tip tool or technique that you can implement in your life today or this week to up your mental game.
I want to talk about balancing the thought that this life that I have right now is enough, I'm grateful for it. It's great. I'm here to awesome. And I want more. This is a big one, guys, I see this so much. And myself and my students when you are a driven, high-performance person, and we want to push to the next level.
How do we do that, and also feel really awesome about where we are? This is a simple shift, I think it's a consistent one that needs to happen over and over again, though. And, to me, the balance really comes from our interpretation of where we are and making sure that our thought about it, is one of gratitude and confidence, and pride.
Because that is the space, that is the place that is going to lift us to the next level. Because often when we think about where we want to go, we think of it in juxtaposition to where we are as if we don't have enough, now there's a scarcity, there's a lack. And that can be true, you know, for some people, but for others, where we are now is fine. It might even be good, it might even be great. And yet, we still want more.
So making sure that we're balancing the thoughts and emotions about where we are making sure that we're not motivating ourselves, which is where a lot of us come from motivating ourselves with fear or with lack or with scarcity. Again, as if this isn't enough, I don't, this isn't good. Right? Instead of this is great, I want more I want to push myself just to push myself not because anything's wrong here, not because it's lacking here.
And again, I'm talking about if things are okay, or you are right, that we're going to motivate ourselves with love, and motivate ourselves with abundance and motivate ourselves with gratitude. This is very different than what so many of us have been taught, which is scarcity, fear, and not enough so that I'm gonna push myself to the next level.
And again, I don't think this is a one-time shift. I think this is like a consistent coming back to this principle of balancing. This is enough, this is great. I'm grateful for where I am. And I want to push myself to the next level. And notice in your body, if it's you're excited about that next level, you want to do it. It's fun, it's maybe hard and scary, but it's like a positive thing versus like, I don't feel like I'm enough.
I don't feel like this is enough. I don't feel like you know, I don't feel like I've accomplished anything. That's where a lot of I see my students, they don't feel like they've done enough. And so they're motivating themselves from a real scarcity. Almost like a shame place. So notice for yourself, are you able to balance that and if it feels wrong, just play with the thoughts about where you are and where you want to go.
And recognize that you can motivate yourself with love. You can motivate yourself with gratitude for what you already have. All right, is a big one guys. And it's something that I think all of us have to come back to again and again. So I hope this was helpful. Mental Monday. We'll see you again next week. Bye for now.
