Hi all, and welcome to Mental Monday. My name is Lindsay Wilson, and this is the Mindset Coach Academy podcast, guys, we're gonna be talking about a very simple concept for those of you that are mindset coaches, and aspiring mindset coaches and really even sports coaches. But I really want to talk about how this applies to clients.
And that's this, this is like the old saying, of coach to the highest level. Now for me, I do group coaching, I do our certificate program, I do our insider mastermind, which is the follow-up to that. And then I do a monthly group coaching program called the mindset coaching collective. So sorry, I'm drinking tea because I've super sore throat.
What I want to talk about is coaching to the highest level. And sort of the flip side of that, which is really the message that I want you to have today is not being afraid, as a result of coaching to the highest level of losing clients. So one of the things we're working on with my certification students is really focusing in and coaching and thinking about our best clients. Because here's what happens. And I say this with love because I do it too.
We focus on the people that we're not right for, we focus on the people that have left our programs for whatever reason, and we make that mean something. And I again, I do it too, like if someone leaves my program and like what is a good thing because I think about how to improve my program. But it can be also like you pay more attention to people that have rejected you.
And this is obviously like a deep-seated need in our brain to belong and for survival and the reptilian brain and all that. But pay attention to the people that you most want to coach coaching to the highest level. And again, not being afraid to lose clients. So I am massively up-leveling my business, like massively, we are going to a whole new level with our certification with the support that we have with our insider students and the businesses that they are building.
And so with that, we are going to leave some people behind. And this is a part of building business, I don't want to leave anybody behind. But we are getting very specific about, you know, who is on the ride for the right reasons and willing to do the work and all those sorts of things.
And I just want to encourage you, you know, when you're first building your mindset coaching business, you sort of are like, put your like, doors open for business sign up, so to speak your shingle out, and you're like, I anybody who wants mindset coaching, great. And that's sometimes how we start.
But very quickly, we have to get into the mindset of there's a billion people in the world, and I want to work with a certain type, both because I'm good at it, and I can offer them the most value, they can get the most results. I like working with them the best. And they get the best results and all these sorts of things.
And so focusing on those people, whether you have them in your life, or your client roster now, or you need to go find them. And maybe it's a combination of those things, but coaching the highest level and not being afraid to lose people. Because as you uplevel you absolutely will.
Whether it's because you're no longer speaking to them and their problems, whether because you're charging more than they want to spend to solve the problem because the problem isn't big enough for them or they don't want the solution bad enough. Or whatever for because they move on. Not being afraid to lose clients.
So that's my message for you guys that are mindset coaches, aspiring mindset coaches thinking about being a mindset coach, that yes, in the beginning, we get a lot of practice, we work with a lot of different people. But very quickly, we have to really get clear about who we can help the most. And not being afraid to lose clients or lose people or leave them behind. Do not be afraid to coach to the highest level and you will be far more successful.
Far more than trying to please everybody and keep everybody going. Okay, that's my message for you today. Happy mental Monday. I'll see you next week. Bye for now.
