Hi everybody and welcome back to the Mindset Coach Academy podcast.
My name is Lindsey Wilson and I am in essentially my new podcast studio. So you probably can't see it unless I'm posting this somewhere, which I probably will actually, but I did put some pictures up on Instagram and it's actually not a new space. It's just spruced up.
I like that word. I just spruced it up and I got some new lighting. I got some new plants. I have a new microphone boom. At least I think that's what it's called.
It's a little arm thing that makes the microphone right in front of my face instead of me leaning over. So yeah, that's been kind of fun and it really reminds me of what I wanted to talk about today because as you know, mental monies, we all talk about one thing, like one thing that you can implement today or this week. And in the Mindset Coach Academy this past month, which is month one, where we sit in the student chair and work on ourselves, we really talked a lot about being in from an energetic standpoint, being in a high vibe versus a low vibe feeling in your life. And in particular, recognizing when we're in that.
And I don't think that needs a whole lot of explanation. I will say, sometimes we don't know that we're in a low vibe. We just feel like things are hard or the world's against us or we're just grumpy or just not in a good energetic space. But here's the thing about being in the low vibe is sometimes we think that we don't have any agency over that.
I'm just in a bad mood because life sucks or this happened or this person did this thing. And so just the awareness of whether we're in a low vibe or a high vibe space can be really, really helpful. And then recognizing that we have a choice to stay in it or get out of it, in particular a low vibe, right? But just having that moment of realization of like, oh, this is my doing. And then what can I do? And likewise on the on the high vibe, like if you're getting a lot done, like having that awareness of like, I'm in a productive, good, positive space, why? Well, let's see, I'm eating better, I'm sleeping better, I'm exercising, I'm making sure to write or read or take long walks or whatever it is because I think especially if you are not an entrepreneur but really for all of us that are just busy and balancing a lot of different things, sometimes it feels like our moods or our energy are like willy-nilly, like if I wake up on the right side of the bed and so having that awareness of like, no, I actually created this and now I get to ride this wave and once we get in the habit of really understanding like I'm in a high vibe mode or I'm in a low vibe mode, then we get to decide what can I do to either keep this or to get it in another time or to get in it now, like if I'm in a low vibe, what do I, what can I do to turn it around and sometimes that's hard because when you're in a low vibe, you're a little bit in that fight or flight sometimes where it's hard to see possibilities and so my advice for that would be like, don't allow yourself to say I don't know because that's just a cop out, that's just a you wanting to stay a victim, like force yourself to think of like what's one thing I could do, what's two things I could do, I don't know if they're gonna work, I don't know if going for a walk is gonna work, I don't know at least I'm taking some agency over because here's what happens if we don't, again, we think that the vibe is like outside of us and there's nothing we can do about it, it's like it's outside of us, came inside of us and like we're just sitting here minding our own business but once we do that, it often starts a cycle because what happens is then we are we're in such a low vibe and speaking mostly as an entrepreneur but this is kind of true for any of us and then we don't get a lot done and then we feel worse, has anybody ever felt that way and they feel worse and you're like I'm just sitting around and like the day just goes and then you're like I didn't grasp what I could, now this isn't to say that there's not a time to, I don't want to say wallow but well there's not, it's not that there's not a time to like you it's not like you should always be pushing yourself into positivity or productivity that's not what this message is so don't take it that way, it's not that we need to push ourselves into positivity and productivity, we just want to take mindset, we're going to be low productive or low energy or negative, at least let's do it intentionally, right at least let's like be aware of it and be like you know what, you know what, you send out bonus episodes, I can't take life today, I'm gonna just and those times honestly are the times we might want to double down on quote unquote ourself care so that we can get ourselves back into a high five, right like those self-care days are for the low vibe day but so that you can recover and you want to learn how to have a mindset coaching business in order to sell mindset coaching, again the first step is am I a low vibe or high vibe, awareness, how did I get here, what did I do to create this, and check out our ultimate, and what can I do to get out of it or continue it, this is really deep self-awareness work, again that I promise will pay huge dividends in all aspects of your life, as usual if you love this episode won't you share it with a friend, I think a lot of us talk about this concept without actually using real words, we don't actually have really great ways of talking about this so if you have a girlfriend or boyfriend or friend that you end up talking a lot about like your grumpy days, I would share this episode because I think this is a really important one for all of us to have like some language around this so go ahead and hit share, we sure appreciate it, and we'll see you again next week for my Monday, talk to you soon, bye for now
